Any thoughts on Redline RL20's.......

Got most of the parts together to build something along the lines of this, (no pads, black alloyhub tuffs, silver or red mx's, powerlite bars), but just don't know if I can be arsed. Good bike or bad bike? Don't really see many of them around, lovely engineering on the tube and build quility but there must be something that's not floating my boat to hold me up.....Tried forklifter bars and stem too, makes it way too big and lofty for my liking and a year too modern for this example. Encourage me.....I thank you. p.s Spot the mistake on the ad....

Iv always liked these, there are not many about, so something a bit different
Maybe try some other Bars & a Tuf Neck, I can see how it would look a little tall with the Forklifter Bars & Stem.
Build it & see

Straight cross bar (or StarBars) & a Brute stem... and don't put a layback on it.

As for the mistake I'm going for the fact that the RL Frame on the advert has no triangular gussets under the Downtube/headtube.... yet they did when put into production!
I have decal sets for your Frame & Forks if interested..... mine actually fit, unlike the so called "Genuine" trash on ebay - plus you get seatstay decals on my sets!
Check em out...

I agree with Ron B - those bars are sweet and you could go with either a Brute or a Forklifter stem depending on if your Prostyler has the fork pegs or not.
I have one that needs a full resto and got my decals from John

Here's a quick pic of mine, hard to make it out against my nans old settee....It's got......
Redline Flights and chainwheel
Kashimax MX
DC clamp
MKS Graphite X
MX 900's (got silver too and tech 3's in either colour)
Tuf Neck stem
Powerlite powerbend bars
Panaracer fs tires
A'me Tri
Alloy hubbed tuffs, got a rear here for it....
I like those Stu V bars Ron B posted up, that's what I'd really want on there. I would want to build it to the spec in the ad if anything but I've kind of washed my hands with spending on overpriced parts now so just building with what's here.
Pads would obviously be big bucks unless someone can repop, and I bet there's a queue for white alloy hubbed tuffs out there....brute stems ain't cheap, Stu V bars??
Oh yes , the mistake inthe ad "National PANARAMA tires"

Mate, that looks cool... trade the calipers for a black set or use the silver, bang a nice set of bars on it ( what about GT Pro?) and Bobs yer uncle
