thrasher
« on: October 16, 2007, 06:37 PM »
I built a thrasher for my friend who always tears up my bikes. ended up nicer than expected for a spare parts build but all of the damageable parts are inexpensive and/or new-school. it is a late 90s DK frame with Pitchfork and Slams. TNT hubs on araya rims stopped by Paul brakes. the pics should say the rest. I stuck some Metal bikes decals on there that S&M sent. I just wanted to share , thought it came out nice for rattle can and some xtras... beat on this Ryan!

gosh thats really lovely,

can I be your friend too?

I really liked the mid-late 90's DK race bikes before they went taiwan, and the race bikes went chunky aluminium.

You might need a different brake lever though, but im sure you already know that!

the good thing is the frame already has a few small dents and things like the VG chainwheel and some of the other stuff were used or were parts that I won't sell but don't mind tearing up.  the VG chainring is spraybombed (was when I got it)... but still pretty straight and matched the color scheme. I changed the pedals out to some old Crupi squares I had due to slippage on the GTs.
