Missing Parts.............?
« on: October 06, 2007, 10:16 PM »
Didnt really want to post this but Ive had no luck PM'ing the guy so....... Fk it! I sent some OS GT hubs down to the guy who's on this site known as 'Customparts' to have them anodised for a fixed wheel project I wanted to do months ago.

After what I thought was an initial good start - as he did acknowlege that the hubs needed to be forwarded to a contact of his to have the chrome removed before polishing and anodising could commence Ive heard nothing at all. Now I know stuff like this takes time etc. but  I get the feeling this stuff is lost and he's not bothered about answering any queries ive made recently. Does anyone know the guy? If so mention this please...... I only want to know if the fkn hubs are lost or still waiting to be done!!!!! Simple really  >:(

I had a stem re-anodised by them and it was turned around very quickly, about 2 to 3 weeks all in.  Not had anything sent to be de-chromed through them however I would say from my experience of chromers that they work in a parallel universe where their week runs at about 4 weeks of everyone elses time. So if he's sent them to someone and they said a week or two what they actually meant is a month or two  >:(.

If it helps, I found Custom Parts to be very responsive, try emailing him at paul@lawson0212.fsnet.co.uk to see if you have any joy.
