custom ammaco freestyler
« on: August 17, 2007, 02:05 PM »
Here's my first non-burner, budget build... & it's currently my daily rider... built with this intention in mind. I wanted to build a freestyle BMX with twin top tubes which had plenty of leg room & luckily a frame came my way that fiitted the bill perfectly. It's got the essence of a Gen I which I've lusted over for quite sometime now.

I've deliberately kept the bike unbranded to keep it as low key as possible for when it's locked up in & around London. I used good condition used parts and NOS budget/copy parts where possible, to keep the cost of the build to a minimum. Ended up buying some tuffs from vert-ego none the less... as I became a bit impatient lol. Most parts though came from the RAD meet at MK... so it's been a very quick build and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. it will definately fulfil it's purpose nicely. :)

Many thanks to firebird, julian taff, harris, wish i kept my TA, rad ash, John1970, stuntmaster, biagio, dirtyvans, waxintaxin... errr..

guy with first stall at MK who sold me the tyres ?? and the guy who crashed and banged his head, for the stem ? Sorry can't remember your names lol...

Anyways, hope you like.... Let me know what you think... good or bad !! Be as brutally honest as you wish....

cheers for lookin'
Owen

Yep, agree with all above dude, looks cool.

I too think these were much nicer than the DP, the one in the scan with the white walls and black and white decals on always had me smiling. On that note I think you should get some decals done by Del and invest in some white walls and it would look the dogs mate.

Nice bike!  :daumenhoch:

Looking good mate, those bars look better
I'm gonna do a budget build next, a reflex or something just to rip to work on and not having to worry about locking up round london

nice work

Thanks a lot.

I'm concerned that this is too nice now to leave round london.  :LolLolLolLol:

Including the bars, I've also changed the calipers to Dia compe 890s, added a black suntour stem & black victor DX

cheers
