the holes on the dropout look like an after thought but they'd line up in production i'm sure,
leave the fooking gyro tabs off for heavens sake though a simple push fit type plate is enough and gives the builder an option to not run one,

internal headset? wtf? shouldnt that say "inegrated headset"?

Yup yup

nice one dingo for the pics,

i'm liking it :)

with any luck it wont weigh too much and with even more luck £90 on ebay :LolLolLolLol:

not sure about the 21" top tubes though, the original masters were shorter flatland type frames ?

thats a good point,
maybe haro should think about making it a nice, high quality flatland oriented frame rather than a trailsy type geometry,
i liked the idea of the modern geometry on the SE quads and ripper's but they were race/trails frames bitd,

haro defo need to put more time into it though,

i'm surprised nike arent releasing a "nike special edition gen-1 retro"
with a dodgy shoe to match,
and claiming they've been supporting bmx since day 1 :LolLolLolLol:

That's bogging horrid...  I guess they felt they had to put something on it...

I think they made a much better job of the 2006 sport as a complete
(I have 2 of them  ;D )

My big fear was that to make such a frame could be such a tarnish on the original history if it was done right, and unfortunatly it seems my fear has come true.
As for the complete bike ..... someone needs a swift kick up the khyber for that.

"true to it's original design"

it's?????????????   it's?????????????         "true to it is original design"

WHY DO ILLITERATES RUN THE WORLD??   "ITS"  is the only possessive not to need an apostrophe
MAN i hate that.

AND   it should be shorter.. because you'd actually get some people buying it to flat it!

Where is the full stop after "apostrophe" and a upper case "I" in the next sentence??  :LolLolLolLol:

Have to admit, they made a hash of it. I thought Tony D told DJ they'd put the holes in the drop-outs the correct way round...?

I can understand though that they probably figure the collectors will put their own parts on it, hence the usual Haro cranks etc. But I'm not going to be happy unless I can pick one up for £99 like I did with my Sport !  :)

right, there,s a 99% chance the frame and fork set wont be available over in uk, them bikes wont be here untill 2008 if they even do the bike. i ask week in week out about this and for some reason all i get is (its haro, its not finished or built) so i dont know .also where was the photo taken , infact that wont be here untill the 2009 range are released, as the 2008 are here next week .g

My local shop has had the 2008's in for a couple of weeks now but the catalogue Haro posted online says it's "Fall 2007 through winter 2008", so presumably there will be a spring summer catalog too...  ???

That'd be DJ - as I understand it, he's not working for Haro now :-\

Been waiting a while for this bike to appear... little dissapointed by the displayed model. Hopefully they will make some changes.

Frame set only would be a good option I think...

Well fook me, I step out the office for just a while & this what happens?!!!!

You have no idea how much time & effort I put into that fooking bike, trying to make sure they did it correctly, honoured the original etc... I used this & the other forum for ideas, opinions etc etc & fought tooth n nail to make sure they did it correctly....

As has already been discussed I no longer work for Haro  so my input is now pretty much zero BUT I will be contacting the powers that be to tell them what a joke that bike looks & to also thank them for making me look like a lying bastard!!!!

I have a long history with Haro & working for them was pretty special for me but Im not sure of the direction & that has left me disillusioned with the whole thing.

Maybe you could point out what a success Todd Lyons is making of the SE range by actually listening to what the public and potential buyers want, god that black and gold ripper looks lightyears away from that Freestyler  :(.  Such a shame you aren't still there as I would have loved to own a retro Freestyler with modern geometry and build  >:(.

What's annoying is that they've blatently just built up the frame from last years show - even after they assured DJ they'd change it.

If they really knew the audience, they'd do a better job. Maybe they got stung with so many Sports left over. But that was their fault again for doing a colour the sport wasn't really famous for.

I think corporate is the wrong word here. The word is incompetance.

All we can do is pray the production models are not like the prototype.
