i predict a WAL!!!!!!
« on: September 24, 2007, 06:03 PM »
i personally think this is as cool as it is heavy, i fookin love these and desperatally wanted one since i saw one in the flesh about a year ago (thanks dan dare :daumenhoch:) i know they aint well thought of and the bars will put even more off but fook yez all!!!!!!!!! ;D its a work of fookin art. was gonna go black peregrine seat n grips to match wheels, stem, pedals n seat clamp but the white elina won it (built for comfort not for speed)

no punches pulled please, coz i just don't care :smitten:

Thats one of the great things about getting "mid school" bikes. You get a bike you like, and it can be real cheap.

YOu might have to pay £100 for a NOS sticker set for it .... but at least the frame was cheap!

Never seen one of them before, some quirky touches, but I do like the look of it, I'd be happy to own one :daumenhoch:.

Looks a long frameset.....how much did it cost OD and are they rare or something ::)

That is supercool!

I love the WAL Riot (although I prefer the earlier sticker sets though!)

I reckon that they are going to be worth seriuos money one day as they are already a rarity!

You need a set of WAL/2Hip bars on it now to finish it off!

Oh look theres some for sale here!

:LolLolLolLol: i was lookin at them there bars when you first posted them. but i wanted chrome ones. also im a soft oldschooler at heart so the extra rise is essential for my riding enjoyment.

aye up stylie, i got the frame for a bargain in my eyes (mates rates) ive seen a few not sell then disappear. i reckon about a ton for a good f/f, but they never come up.

cranks are 180's but the bottom bracket seems really low, and yeah the frame looks long coz of the angle of the toptube and ive got a zipback post on it, but its still a wopping 20" centre to centre so i suppose that is long for a freestyler.

dan dare has a loverly one too that he rides all the time, i'll try n get pics of them together, WAL 2 WAL as it were

I like that a lot. A whole LOT.

This is my old one which I sold most of the bits off when in need of cash a few years back.  :tickedoff:

I even tried to contact the american guy i sold it to on ebay a while after the deal (he was gathering up a few of them at the time) but he had since sold it on...  :(

I don't regret many sales of BMX stuff cos it regularly ends up being cherished by the new owner, but this is one of them...

You ever watched this?

Brian.

Awesome, Ron's da man!
I had one of these in 92 (i think) got a black one, didnt like the black so had it plated in the end. Then worked out it was too long for a bit taller than Spen like me and swapped it for a Hutch Trickstar in chrome.  :smitten:
