great bike btw dude, maybe not the best built frames but anything Ron does is cool by me!

have to disagree dude, sorry, if you talking of design then meybe you got a point but if you talking build quality you are way out, the chrome is fantastic and the welding is nothing short of angelic, i'll post some close ups of the welds when i can be arsed but this thing is put together beautifully

this is as cool as it is heavy

That sums it up perfectly, lol. Great looking WAL, one of my "must have" frames.

i think the rumours were about stems hitting frames when x'd up and the fact he went for 24" fork legs coz he got em on the cheap and when interviewed and asked about the design of it his reply sounded as tho he had no idea why it looked as it did, but the welds are second to none, i was really impressed by them when i got it (doesnt take much ;D). i still havnt rode it yet with work n weather n shit, i reckon itl take some gettin used to after my sport, its as heavy as 2.

Looks good Jones...  I think the issue with quality was more to do with frame alignment.

Reckon alignment was indeed problem with the early ones. I got one from John Terry and it was all over the place, the rear stays were twisted and the fork drop outs were welded about an inch too far down the leg - made my early Mack look like a mass produced frame by comparison! Think I only paid a ton for it though and never rode it - sold it on the Harvey Ransome and he machined and rewelded the thing into a half rideable bike. That was of course the problem with the early rider owned companies, they rarely held a frame, fork or bars back from sale as they couldn't afford to cover the losses.

Did like the look of the WAL though  ;)
