Flipping heck   Is it open 5 days a week and is there a specific cycle bits stall or was it a just a lucky one of a 2nd hand stall. Decent bit of swag for 20 bills.

I sold one of those in the summer. If I am not mistaken you actually have a Mongoose Expert not a Californian. The Expert came with the yellow decals wheras the Californian came with the orange fading to yellow decals. Nice score :)

cali was trimoly, expert was all tubes frame like the supergoose
not sure if by mid to late the expert disappeared
not got any catalogues from that period to know

i brought my expert thinking it was a twist on the supergoose
but the spec of the parts was low.
Steel pro class rims
steel H bars
etc ...

got a real super and sold expert on.
Never did check top tubes or any thng though to see if it was diff in that respect.
chances are its the same frame.

that whats odd trilmoly cali was better spec'd than expert
i have some mag tests at home will post up later
which should help. though don't hold ya breath we are talking mongoose here

My Expert had the tri-moly decal on the top tube behind the head tube. I think it was a lower spec Californian and I also recall it only been available in the US??
