I think pitbull brakes are from the late 80's so i would have a guess at late 80's early 90's  :-\ , May not be much use to you but thats my take on it  :) no doubt i will be corrected   ::)

 :coolsmiley:

EDIT - I must add that i am going off the pitbull brake because of the Pitbull brake mount behind the BB  :)

I thought these were from around 88 or 89, maybe one of the US boys on the "other" sites could tell for sure  :daumenhoch:

dudes, I think that SE made the 1" integrated seatclamp normal caliper brake bridge pk's with curved chainstays form 86 to 90, then the Pitbull mount pk ripper came in from 1991 to about 94/95 or so... I could be wrong but in all my searchings this seems to be the case. The Pitbull ripper was always my favourite - im in the process of putting together my favourite pk of all time - the pitbull pk ripper in anodised purple.  :smitten:
ps - great looking pk dingo - you have the best looking bikes dude.

Now i should know this as I had one BITD and tested it in Ride.  I just found the article but there's no date on the but judging from some comments in the test i'd say it was around '96.

So early for the pitbull ?

Always thought the pitbull was introduced around 89-90 and then Canti lugs a bit later

I own one of the same kind Dingo, and a 92 Floval with Canti. The guy I got it from was 100% sure about 92 for the Floval; in my mind lugs were around 94...

No way guys, that Ripper with the pitbull brake was WAY LATE, mid nineties.  Like I said I had one from Shiners as sponsorship and wrote teh test in RIDE (which I still have).  It was at teh end of my racing career and that was mid nineties for sure.

'86? Not a chance, that was World champs at Slough time and teh pitbull wasn't even out then.

OK might have a definitive answer for you.  In the test I did in RIDE mag, I had Exposure forks fitted on the bike and they had just come onto the market.  just confirmed with Matt Farrow at Hot Wheels that they introduced the forks in 1995.

Now, it is possible that SE introduced this bike before it was tested in RIDE but that's doubtful and if it was then it would have maybe been by 1 or 2 seasons.  i reckon 1995 is the best guess.  hope this helps, I can scan and email you the article if you need it?

I reckon it's a 91-95, but it doesn't matter what age it is anymore, it's still old school legal (1" threaded and caliper/pitbull)  :daumenhoch:
