Very nice!

Is the colouring applied in the same way that the original 'smoke chrome' method was or is it simply sprayed?

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

chrome has to be pretty good condition, but most of the turbos that have passed thru my hands have been ,somthin about the early DB`s they always seem to be in good shape must be a good quaility grade of metal and chrome job me thinks .. as for the method and paint spec im not sure of the exact process the original db went thru but it looks well close if not 99% ..as for the cost he charges £100 for the f&f + bar+ cranks

You are right about the quality of Diamond Back chrome Lee, I had an 81 Senior Pro and it was lovely when polished up.

£100 is cheap as chips.

.. matt im not biteing ,i was just sayin tryin to match the turbo is a tuff one as there are so many variations in the shade ..example: i had 2 seperate forks both with the original finish onthe steer tube and they were like black n white in comparison .. yes i forgott u had the nos turbo lite, but and seem to remember  it was alot   darker than say if u was to buy a used one with 20 years wear on it   :daumenhoch:

lee the colour looks spot on mate   :daumenhoch:  you have finished a turbo off for me in the past and it was sound, so if this is better then you must be getting really close, now pick your toys up and play nicely   ;)
