Has any of you lot got a picture or any info in your old magazines on the early 80's cook bros dog leg cranks.If you have can you let me know as i need a picture/info :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Here you go:

1st generation



2nd generation:
(sorry no pick but they have the newer script of the 3rd generation but without the chainring notch cut out on the inside of the arm).


3rd generation:


4th generation:
Not dog bones - but look similar have the back of the arms scooped out for weight reduction - only really for road and early xc mountain bikes


And a different company Cooks (lasted only a short time which was set up by one of the brothers after they sold CBR on)

So mine are the cooks company that didn't last long  :idiot2: There was cooks stamped on each arm but it's very faint now :(
What year are they? Do you know ???

They look alot like Middleburn MTB cranks from the late 90s (from what I can remember, seeing them in the bike shop I worked in)

Yup no worries - there's a great Cook bros post on vintage, with some excellent info and photos.

I grab some from that as soon as it up again
