I was always a Skyway kind of guy but i do think OGKs have their place. Your RL20 looks better with them for example. In my opinion anyway.

I can remember BITD that OGKs were always considered the "poor man's Skyway". Now, kids being the vindictive little sods that they are, noticed that OGKs wheels seem to come on the bikes that were at the perceived lower end of the market so no-one wanted them if they could avoid it.

I agree with Bob, although I will always be a Skyway fan, I think that OGKs have their place and look better on some bikes than Tuffs do.

i thought OGK's were the poor man's Peregrines and Acorns were the poor man's Skyways.

I'm gonna throw Aero Zytecs into the mix  :daumenhoch:

Got two pairs and have had no trouble at all from both, which is something I can't say about Tuff 2s and the cones (maybe it's just me). Skyway is iconic and I had to have a pair when I got back into the old school thing, but if someone put a pair of Tuffs or Zytecs in front of me, I'd go for the Zytecs.

zytecs are smoother, but flex way too much for a rider imo.

There's no fear of me flexing those Zytecs considering how I ride :LolLolLolLol:

It's a pitty I can only get hold of off white and red zytecs these days, not sure if they did multi colours bitd ??? Suppose there is the Dylen route though.

Unless your doing an original spec Redline Prostyler then it has to be Skyways.

Skyways all the way!!!
However before my skyways i had a pair of Acorn Freestyle which to be fair looked exactly the same but had sealed bearings so if i was being honest i would have to say they were maybe better!?!?
They weren't Skyways tho an street cred is street cred!!
However i had friends who both ran the original Acorns (with the thinner spokes) and OGK's
Always liked the look of OGK's cos i thought the offset looked cool!!
But peer pressure made the decision to go for Skyways!
Lets face it all the Pro's used em!! an i wanted to look like a pro even if i couldn't ride like one!!

I quite like OGK's, but would prefer Peregrine Masters on my RL20 prostyler (or maybe tuffs)  ;) :LolLolLolLol:

Did Wilkerson run Peregrines or OGK's?

Wilko ran Peregrines cos they supplied Haro - well in the 2 years he wasn't riding Tuffs anyway. They were standard on the 85 and 86 Sports (hmmm Peregrine Master Sports.... obviously made for Haro's !  ;) )

But I understood OGK made the Peregrines. Anyone know the difference the OGK and Peregrine branded products?

I know the Mastersports were billed as being graphite - but Skyway insisted you couldn't colour graphite.... Any experts out there?

Graphite only comes in one colour, and thats graphite, and dylon don`t work on graphite  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
