anyone remember pop out itis ?

i think it was Andy Brown or Greg Guillotte who could'nt get past the coping without popping out to the coping.

I remember this well, think most riders had this at some time,  Neil Ruffel had at one point in both the performance at Rom and at his qtr pipe he had at Leyton cricket ground, Andy brown and Greg G had this at Royal Oak, I had a spell of this at Rom also, think it came from when you were pushin really hard, too much speed coming up the transisiton, and the fear of hooking up.

We all got over it though..

Ye , i hated it , i had it for a spell bitd for a month or 2 and just got over it now after having it for over a year , it's all in the mind , it's like being a cat and wanting to stay up right , i thought about this a lot , it got that bad that i was poping out half way through an air , don't think its got anything to do with fear of going to hang up , maybe the going to fast thing has something to do with it and not knowing wether to do a grany air or trick air . I got it sorted by just always thinking about leaning to left (i air right to left) even when i'm not riding i would think about it and then when i'm on the half i would be more comfy airing and would end up doing airs even when i wanted to pop out ... It sorted now .  :daumenhoch:

it's when you lose your bottle when trying to air and always end up popping out instead. i don't get high enough up a ramp to worry about things like that.

Me too!!!

On a side note, I often quote Jamie Bestwick who once said in an interview  'on vert, rolling in is a trick in itself'.  Amen.

I don't think I've had pop out itis, but I often get lost on the ramp. Often forget what I wanted to do and end up back on the deck looking puzzled...  :-[

Rolling in, is definitely a trick...

Otherwise I didn't learn anything on the Perfomance Bowl at Rom on Sunday....
