right then..have bought a white kashi aero off ebay recently..tis yelowed and for the majority of its life has worn a powerglide sticker on it...obviously leaving a perfectly white sticker mark in the middle of yellowness..

have left it in a bucket of bleach over night and its not done a great deal to be honest...

whats the best course of action with a white seat to get it back to white?

worst case i have a powerglide sticker to go cover the colour difference, but i'de rather get it back to its former glory.

advice please!

Jon, if you are able to get some sun where you live  ::), leave it in the sun for a few weeks, turning sides from time to time.
It's a slow and very harmless tip I used on one of mine, worked a treat !!
It's bright white now, without any damage to sticker or gold lettering.

Here's what it looked like when I got it, NOS and badly yellowed :

Amongst sisters ("saddle" is female in French   ;)):

After the sun treatment (just picked another one, used and lightly yellowed this time)

Stick with the bleach, Asda super duper cheap runny bleach, whack the seat and bleach in a bucket., leave it for a few days or a week and when you check it again it'll be minty snowy white.

I left a skyway hot seat in bleach and the rails went very rusty. I'm presuming that'd happen with the Kashimax. Nice seat collection btw Arnaud, I'll show you mine one day, I do love a good seat stash :daumenhoch:

ps If you ever want to sell a white kashi.......

Put some grease all over the rails if you want to keep them nice.
What a nasty job this is gonna be, bleach, grease,....   ;)
Too bad you have no sun mate, woud be easier  :2funny:

Worth a try, tough, I never can get enough of some Kashi brought bak to life!

right the...fooking catastrophy....

ta for all the (fooking shit) advice, apart from Mark J and double chevron.

the seat is now completely and i mean completely fooked.

24 hrs in, the rails are corroded to the point they have craters in them, and the seat is now a light rust colour, streaky and fooked. the kashi label on the back has peeled off also....

think its going straight in the bin.

DO NOT PUT WHITE SEATS IN BLEACH AND LEAVE THEM UNLESS ITS JUST THE PLASTIC AND NOTHING ELSE.
