1985 Skyway streetbeat green
« on: August 23, 2007, 09:17 PM »
Hi, I have just bought a Skyway streetbeat 1985 for an old school biuld but i do not have the forks. Does anybody know where i can get hold of these. They dont have to be green as i can get them painted.
Cheers all.

Trying to find the forks on their own is a real bugger, so i've found. You can buy a raw Streetbeat frame and forks from Rudewheels for about £50 or so I think. If you absolutely have to have the forks, that may be your best option.

Failing that, a pair of Tange forks would suit the frame fine I reckon.

Hi, Thanks for the advice. Yes i had thought about getting some Tange or Tiogas and getting them sprayed green. I have come across a pair of landing gear tric (standing gear) and i am quiet tempted to see what they will look like. Only seen them on 1 bike that was not an SE in a 1984 copy of BMX action bike.
