i can't get one in extra extra extra extra small
-its a chromo robinson,
-i have a mig welder, i might have to do it myself
-i can tack it up and ride it/check it
-wanted some nice welding,thats all
-if you imagine i have a junior with a 18 inch head tube running 451mm wheels
-i want to get the head tube to 14
cut the seat pin tube under where the frame is now, and bring the rear triangle in a few inches
-this will be easy to do as its a loop tail
-its just my welding skills are pap
-although i could file them smooth?
-oh ps i am running inch rims at 406mm with recumbant skinny tyres
 :D

-they boys got a brand new bmx but its still too snall

plus i can then whack some from the head tube, to get the rise down

Hey Steve please dont use a mig welder on Chrome- moly tubing it puts far to much heat into the material and destroys the very properties that make it desirable it will make the joint weak and brittle. The proper way and the only way we accept on the drag race cars we inspect is to TIG weld 4130.Puts a lot less heat into the material and a stronger neater weld.
Sorry to pee on your fireworks but it is a safety issue. ;)

Hi mate sorry a little misunderstanding I think I am a licenced chassis Inspector for British Dragracing.I dont do the work myself I check it conforms to the safety regs for material, wall thickness and construction.
I could put you in touch with one of the chassis builders in your area who may do the work but obviously there would be a charge and i would imagine it would need jigging up to keep all the alignment correct. So it would probably be a days work.

careful - big pic
=i think this best explains what i am trying to acheive
-my son has a new mini micro gt - still too long
-this bike has
-mini landing  gear, with a 406mm whhel fixed at the next hole up
-skinny tyres
this frame is actually longer than the mini mongoose i have, but that is still to large at the seat post for him
-i would kust like this frame-don't even know what it is to be chopped about so its the smallest it can be!
-along the tape lines

Steve,

It looks like pulling the ht and seat stays back that far that you'll have no clearance for the wheels either behind the bb area or with the relocated downtube position!
