Real vs Snide MX1000

Hi

Been offered a pair of virtually unused MX1000 brakes off a friend of a friend for what I would assume is a too good to be true price (£40). Obviously it begs the question are they real? Are there any telltale signs that give away that they might be fakes (ie. stamped logos etc)? Be grateful for any info, not got photos of the potential new ones but I do have a pair of black MX1000's on my Haro to check stuff against. Just thinking for that price range am I better going for a pair of MX900s and being sure they're the real deal?

back of the arms for the stamps, compare your real un's to a set of snides see if you can spot the obvious differences

if they're for a show bike does it matter if they are very good snides?  if they're for a rider.....then don't bother cos they don't stop you for sheet!

Fair point Mr Pickle, more a case of making sure I'm getting what I pay for rather than being a purist. Don't think the guy selling them is dodgy but he admits to not being an expert, thanks for the advice though guys, appreciate it.
