New Norwich Track Opening Event Invite /Details
« on: November 14, 2005, 04:47 PM »
Norwich Flyers BMX Club in partnership With Norwich City Council are proud to invite you all to the opening of our new BMX Track in Sloughbottom Park, Norwich.

Sunday 27th November 05
11.am – 4. PM. (not 12noon as it says above!)
Free Entry To All.

This opening event is not a full-blown race. More of a taster session for everybody to come and try out our new pride and Joy.
The day will mostly consist of open gate practise and if enough riders turn up and want to race we will put on some demonstration races to show our new local riders what BMX racing is all about . Track will be shut for half an hour sometime between 12.00 and 1.00 for official opening ceremony.
Local T.V, Radio and Press will be in attendance so although not officially a race if all riders could wear full race kit that would be great.
Hot food and drink available.
Full paramedic coverage
.

(Fresh topsoil has only just been put down around the sides of the track so it could get a bit muddy. Spectators advised not to wear their best pair of vans!)
In the event of bad weather on the day telephone 07876 132151 to confirm event is still going ahead.

Car Parking
Although the park has it’s own car park it will be full of footballers cars!
So parking for the BMX event will be at the far end of Burnet Road, Sweat Briar Industrial Estate directly behind the track. From there it’s just a short 200 meter walk to the track entrance .A member of Norwich Flyers will be at the parking point to show you the way for the duration of the event.
