Removing paint

I recently picked up a survivor TA and am in the process of stripping it down.  It looks like the stem on it has originally been gold, but has been painted over at some point in white.  Can anyone recommend something (nitromors?) that will remove the paint but leave the annodised colour intact?

Nitromors is definately what you need.  It will not touch the anodsing only the paint.
