Me, orb and Dave don`t like the idea of chat rooms because it attracts perverts, well more than we already have

I like the idea if it works in a similar way to MSN, where you can select who you chat with. I can't get on MSN at work, so it would save endless emails or PM's for me.

The only worry i have is that we would struggle to police it, Remember, we do have some young sproglets on this site, including Dave and Billy's offspring (no they do not share kids, just they have offspring, you know what I mean)

So, we would need to have someone trust worthy that can be about all the time to make sure that there is no bumming going on in the corner of the chat room, We dont want PK soliciting for his rent boys in the corner?

I've used many game chat rooms over the years, some with sysops moderators and some without. Surely you can set up a basic chatroom for members? with a password maybe if you are that worried? I think your worrying about perverts is a bit over the top guys, there are a milloin and one different chat programmes out there and i hardly think we're going to get anybody in here looking for small shaven boys, well you could always block Sandro from getting in there.

With us using it it would probably be self policing anyway but you could always give 10 or 20 trusted members Mod rights for booting or gagging etc, that way you would have a good chance of somebody being there at one time or another.

When you look at some of the replies on here anyway then there's going to be nothing worse than that going on in a chat room.
I agree with the worry about Radman's grooming technique though....lol

i like that msn thing when there is about 6 users on and ive had a few beers.....

it seems to correspond more with how my brain works....its like playing air hockey with words.....

Bill, i've been in game rooms with 100 plus people all bullshitting, you get used to the chat lag and just take notice of the stuff you're interested in. I wouldn't worry about it affecting posts on the forum either.
