2007 Relentless BMX Championships supported by Crupi

Event Schedule

Friday 24th August     
The club plan to run gates from 6pm Friday evening, further information to be announced by the club     in August       

Saturday 25th August
Open Track Practice 1                           
Midday until 12.55pm
Male 6 years to 14 years, Female 6 years to 15 years, Cruiser -12, 13 to 15

Open Track Practice 2                                   
1.00pm until 1.55pm
Male 15 years and older, Cruiser 16 years and older, Jnr Female, 25+ Female

Rider Check In with Region at King Alfred School        11.00am until 3.00pm

Gate Practice as per nationals
Group 1 (Cruisers)                                      2.05pm until 2.45pm
Group 2 (Female 6-15, Male 6-10)                        2.45pm until 3.45pm
Group 3 (Male 11-16)                                    3.45pm until 5.00pm
Group 4 (Junior Male/Female and older)                  5.00pm until 6.00pm

2007 National Series Presentation                       7.30pm
King Alfred School - Bar and disco after the presentation

Sunday 26th August
Open Practice   
All classes 16 and under                                        8.30am until 9.15am
All classes 17+                                                 9.15am until 9.45am

Opening Ceremony & Racing                               10.00am

Riders Parade *                                         1.30pm until 2.00pm

Quarter Finals *                                                2.15pm until 2.30pm
Semi Finals *                                           3.00pm until 3.30pm
Finals *                                                        4.00pm until 5.30pm

Presentation at King Alfred School*                     7.00pm (or earlier)

* Times may vary – please listen to announcements from the Commentators.

Please Note:   
Outside these specified Practice and Race times the track will be closed. Marshals and First Aid will not be available outside of these times.

Riders/Parents/Team Managers take full responsibility for any incidents that may occur.

Please note the camp site must be vacated by Midday

General Registration Information
1, Championship Classes are;
20” combined 6 and under
Male            7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, Junior Men, 19+, Masters, Elite.
Female          7–9, 10–12, 13–15, Junior Female, Ladies 25+ (20” or CR).
Cruiser         12 and Under, 13 – 15, 16 - 29, 30 – 39, 40+,

2, Riders who have “ridden up” in age classes at a Regional Series may ride their true age group at the Brits based on 2007 minus year of birth. This also applies to female riders who may ride in male classes at regional level and wish to ride in a female class at this event.

3, National 20” Elite riders must ride 20” Elite.

4, If a rider has qualified via the Regional Series on 20” but not on Cruiser or vice versa, they are allowed to ride both classes.

5, Riders must compete on the correct Regional plate – both colour and suffix. The exception to this is Elite riders who will compete on their National plates. The only other exception is for riders using a 2007 World (W) or European (E) ranking plate.

6, All riders must have a valid BC membership at the time of the event and should also have qualified through their relevant regional series.

Pre-Registration Information
After a Region’s Race Series is complete or the regionally defined qualification stage is reached, and no later than August 17th, the Region will provide BC HQ (Roger Wilbraham) with a full list of riders proposing to take part in the championships in Microsoft Excel – a pro forma is provided. Please ensure you use the format for class and club shown at the top of the Pro forma – any errors will cause the rider to be put in the wrong class, club, team or region! Each rider MUST have the correct plate number shown.

If you are unsure that a rider is taking part, please include them in the list as it is easier to remove them after rider check in.

Rider Check – Saturday 1100 to 1500 at the King Alfred School

A copy of each Region’s riders pro forma list will be provided in the Regional Registration area in A3 format. Each Region will have one designated area.

Any deletions or corrections to the list must be clearly noted in writing on the Registration sheet.

At the close of pre registration and no later than 15:30, each Region must bring their rider sheets with the correct money to the registration area within the school. Race Fees are Expert / Cruiser / Female £20.00 and Elite 20” £25.00. There is no discount structure for this event.

As soon as possible after all regions have provided their final rider registration list to Race Administration, a list will be published of all riders by class on the track display boards. It is the rider’s responsibility to check their entry and report any errors to Race Administration no later than 9.00am on Sunday. No changes will be accepted after that time and any incorrect entries may be disqualified.

Racing Information
BC BMX Racing Regulations apply to all events over the weekend.

The Race Format will be as per National Series Regulations with the exception that there are no B Finals and the Elite class will only race one final. Where there are run offs to decide tied results after Moto 3 they will be run immediately after the Motos.

Each Regions top 20 results count towards the Regions score.
Each Club’s top 6 results count towards the Clubs score.
Each Team’s top 4 results count towards the Teams score.

Points are awarded according to the National Series system except positions 5-8 semi finalists, who will also receive points.

Combined classes will be split out before points and trophies are awarded.

National Series Presentation (Saturday evening)
1, The top 8 ranked riders in each class will be presented with their trophies as part of the main presentation. 

2, Riders not collecting their trophies at the presentation should arrange for their club or team to collect on their behalf during the presentation.

Riders Parade
1, The Riders Parade is open to all competing riders and club officials who will parade part of the track without bikes. No animals will be allowed in the parade.

2, It is each region’s responsibility to organise their clubs and ensure that all riders are ready to start the parade when requested. The order of the regions will be announced prior to the parade.

how important is no 6. BC MEMBERSHIP, not sure many old schoolers will be?????

I would guess on Friday it'll be open or split into two groups, at Burnham it usually costs £2/3, it just runs as a usualy club night.

Saturday:
Open Track Practice 2                                   
1.00pm until 1.55pm
Male 15 years and older, Cruiser 16 years and older, Jnr Female, 25+ Female

then
Group 4 (Junior Male/Female and older)                  5.00pm until 6.00pm

Then Sunday morning:
17+                                                 9.15am until 9.45am

And as for racing you lot know how to read a moto sheet don't ya. ;)  They change the running order of the classes every year, so your guess is as good as mine. They will try and do it so people who race in multiple classes get some sort of breather between motos.

I'm sure they would let the OS posse into the parade, quite a few riders are members of clubs anyway. so the BAD guys etc will be part of the South (the best region by far), riders from Midlands sould get with their region, and those peeps from oop noof can all get together and complain that they can't take their whippits round with them. :daumenhoch:
