if it's full on race, the sharkbites came out in 93

1pc would be cheaper
in the very early 90's they were what a lot of riders used

earlier I was looking through a few GO magazines from 90, 91 and 92. I noticed that EVERYONE used DXs. The only person I spotted who wasnt was DMC who was using those mongoose pedals that were like DXs but rounder.

The strongest for sure.  Mine are a bit crunchy these days, even with a bearing overhaul.  Shame.  :'(

The other classic early 90 pedal is that massive Oddy one, Tripple trap I think. The one that webdog had on her current bike on sunday!

There were a few Bully ads in the GOs I was looking thro. One with the full line up of complete bullies, about 7 or so bikes. I could maybe scan them for ya but it wouldnt be for a few weeks cos Im not it my work for a while (the scanner is there).

True.  Just a little weaker in the axles I think, but the cages were just as good.   Victor and Clover DX were both around as well I think?

I was running those on my ELF race bike, great pedals if you have big feet but they hurt like hell on your shins  :LolLolLolLol:

Yeah I did look at those Triple Traps but they do look pretty hefty.
I aquired the frame not really knowing what it was, the guy I got it from on ebay had put some completely wrong but nice OS bits on it which now belong on my Streatbeat.

So having had it sat in my front room for months I've decided to build it.

There were some GT DX's in the for sale but they've one... quite like Sharkbites, A black set would look nice. Would love some black DX's if I can find any.

Cheers for the help again guys, I can only apologise for how little I know.

I used to run Oddysey Triple Traps with JP cages.....Awesome mid school race pedals. But for an all rounder you can't beat Shimano DX's. The GT DX pedals with the replacable pins are the only ones that come close to Shimano DX's.

sharkbites are my pedal of choice for a rider, you just cant beat em for grip or comfort in my book, but then again ive never liked platforms except for the peregrines which are an awesome lookin pedal
