i now have my PL-20 at the same stage as when i sold my old proline II race bike back in 1983. well as close as i can remember, anyway

ame grips
diacompe pre bent lever
tange aw-27 headset

cro-mo post
kashimax seat
diacompe mx1000 caliper
araya 7x rims
ss spokes & nipples
bullseye hubs
14t freewheel
redline flight cranks
tange BB set
sugino 44t chainwheel
kkt lightning pedals
kmc chain (BITD was a D.I.D)
genuine redline padset
haro tech number plate

Nice looking ride, I would have killed for a bike like that BITD, only cheap sh*te for me as a lad I'm afraid.
We have a nice collection of redlines building up now, is the serial in the PL registry??

Wow, they just keep getting better and better. I do love a survivor over a NOS build, gives them a character well above a new bike.

Very nice m8

It's nice to see what the pile of parts looks like once built up. I hope mine looks half as nice when all together. G

thank you for the nice replies.
it's taken nearly a year to find the various bits in reasonable enough condition without going over the top with NOS. i love this build, just cause of the memories it brings back.......................and the scars
that's it for redlines from me, unless i find a 1980 proline. i've got a couple of old geese to annoy yus with
