This c0ck is at it again.

Looks like this matey down here in Weymouth is out to rip off some other poor unsuspecting mugs  :knuppel2:.
After having the 2 sets of previous NEW SCHOOL twin pinch flight go for around £155.
Even tho he was well aware they were new school and the true price.

He's picked up another couple of new sets and is currently running an ebay auction for one of them.
I can see the other being not too far behind.

Current auction...

Feedback showing purchase of two new sets...
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tim-norton&ftab=FeedbackAsBuyer

Getting shot of a set or two of spare or unwanted cranks and making that kind of bonus on top is dubious, but now buying in extra sets to make the same kind of killing and 100% profit is well O.t.t !

Some may not share my point of view.  But this SUCKS!  :tickedoff:  A blatent rip off and totally wrong!  :2gunsfiring_v1:
Some may say he's doing nothing wrong and it's up to the buyer to know what they're purchasing.
I'd say he is taking advantage, knowing he's gonna double his money at the expense and ignorance of others.

Just my opinion,  G.

before ebay blocked the bidders iD you could message the buyers and warn them, but not any more, shame
A long time ago, in a land far away!

He's not being dishonest though so i don't see a problem with mim selling them. If some mug can't be bothered to check the price of them on ebay then that's up to them.

Thing is this other matey is selling a set on the Bay now and is playing on the fact that the sets usually go for around £155. These two are gonna play that off each other and drive the prices up.
I can see it that potential buyers are gonna check through the bay and just keep coming across these auctions for highly inflated prices and think it's the fair price to pay.
He is still using the Old School tag in the sale.
It's a shame he's not as truthful in his description for the Cranks as in the auction he bought them out of.
Maybe potential buyers should be a bit more clued up.
I just don't like seeing people being fleeced by someone using a play on words and selling Brand New, Available stock for double the price.
How would it be if bought a couple of sets... Put them up in an auction and used links to these two sellers auctions saying that £155 is the price these Crank sets go for?  Then again i'm not that sort of person.
Fair enough obviously they did go for that price.  Not fairly or truthfully tho.  Once again, Just my opinion.  :-X  G.

He's not saying they're old school, just that they'd look good on an old school ride.

I would personally put the twin pinch cranks in the same catagory as;

Sealed Bearing Skyway Tuffs
Profile Cranksets
Profile Pro Stems
Re-Issue Bars (ie: GHP's etc)
Repro's (ie: Johnny Chopper Skyway Race Bars)
Crupi Pro Pedals

They are nice and look perfectly good on an old school ride (although not era specific), but any seller MUST advertise them as what they are.... ;)

in his defence he does say they are "BRAND NEW" and doesn't mention "NOS"
no one is holding a gun to the buyers head and if your going to spend £150 (plus) on something you should do your homework first...
