Ive just got a set in white dipping in a load of bleach as we speak. They came off my cousins ammacos. I just hope they come out as nice as Skyways do! How much are they worth? Them red ones are lush. :4_17_5:

i left mine in bleach for a month
the best you get is a kind of ivory colour. they were never gleaming white like skyways

you gets what you pay for i guess

I think Zytecs are becoming harder to find and becoming more expensive as a result IMO. Looking at prices of late on the occassions I've seen them, the red ones are going between £50-70.

I just love the hub design compared to Skyways (this could become a Zytec vs Skyway thread)!

Does anyone know if they came in other colours, I've only ever seen white (well offish white), red or black.

I remember an advert in Action Bike for them in all sorts of colours, green, lilac, orange but to name a few!

They had them all lined up on the top of a QP with tyre tracks going up the transition......i remember it well!

not being funny though. the acorn freestyle wheels came out a while after zytecs, and they were better. less bendy! but both had better hubs than tuffs. kinda.

don't confuse acorn freestyle wheels with acorn magnums. they were comical. the fs wheels were pretty good, as far as "mag" wheels went!
