I raced at a park, the track was in a kind of an old shallow quary, with big tall popular trees between in and the river.

Was that Cantley Park?

I have pics somewhere in me mams big photo archives!

I remember them well.
One flat track in Cantley Park (Bessaccar Buccaneers I think and and other with the massive start hill was known as Don Raceway in Hexthorpe park ( I think it was called)

i remember the bradford track,if you went over the 1st berm you ended up in the school about 1/4 down the hill

love the cantley park pic

your right it was the Bessaccar Buccaneers track
i was a member from the start and helped build the track
that pic must have been about 84/85.
as they redesigned the track after that.
i always loved its first incarnation.
it has long since gone and is now a field

got any more pics of cantley??
and your right the other is indeed hexthorpe track.
it is still there but totally different now

Just out of interest - does anyone want to take a guess as to who is the Gold No 1 plate rider is in the Harrogate photo?
