With Nottingham cancelled tomorrow, hers a shout out to all those making plans to come to Hersden instead.

Anybody can register on the day, we will try and sort something out as far as moto rotation goes, cross that bridge when we come to it

Weather forecast; going on what the bbc weather says, it looks like our corner of the country is going to get away with the bad stuff until well into Sunday night. Go to bbc.co.uk/weather.

Once again all welcome.

Registration starts at 10 ish , closes at 12.30. Race entry fee £2.50

It's going to be a wet one. :daumenhoch:

I'm there Justin.  We had a monumental downfall earlier but it didn't last long and it's quite pleasant now.  Should lay the dust so we'll see you at about 10:30.  Humps

Yes it was another good session at Hersden today and despite the wetness the track rode really well, well after we'd nursed it back to health with some sweeping and top-surface rearrangement.  As ever Tony & Justin hung it all together magnificently with a decent burgervan in attendance too with iced cans of drink.  Got sunburn and currently getting nagged by the missus for not putting suncream on.  I maintained my almost unbeaten record of last places and guaranteed last place in the series.  Do I care??  No, just nice to be out there riding.  Humps

Another great meet of the long-running old school series at Hersden, big thanks to all the guys who are involved in the organisation of these events.

When was that?

That would have been four years ago but I'm not sure exactly when.  Somewhere in the house I have the tape of the Meridian channel's meeting report from that first one.  Wonder how many of us were there at the start and are still doing it??  Humps

PS:  Where was Region 11??
PPS:  See the wheels I was trying to collect today are on eBay tonight.

Bob, my words were that you had been racing at Hersden for a couple of years (we started in 2004, so that makes it three). I knew you were one of the first group of Old Skoolers to use the track.

Once again a big thank you to all for coming, thankfully our faith in the weather people paid off. Hope to see as many of you possible back on August 12th.

good day yesterday.not without its technical problems.generator ran out of oil and the compressor played up all day but we got the job done.many thanks to the guy who went shopping for the oil.good to see batty back on the track and spanking zippys arse now phil's retired from o/s racing.dave glendowers elbows were in full effect in the b final.good job it was a hersden lad or it would have been tears before bedtime.
two full gates of 13 and under girls with the welcome return of sophie george.she gave the regular front runners a scare.new under 7's riders as well getting their first taste of bmx racing.which is what our track is all about.many thanks for your continued support of the hersden series and see you all again on august 12th.justin.

First meeting at Hersden was Saturday 10th March - here's the proof http://www.bmxtalk.co.uk/viewtopic.php't=1400&highlight=hersden .  Was it really only 2004??  Wonder how many meetings we've had there and how many me and the boys have been to.  The place has seen quite a few top riders too.  Humps
