Interesting.

I think it is ugly, to be honest, i think streetbeats have lost thier appeal, they are getting more common that your local burberry sporting chav.

Its a shame really, as the SB is a wicked frame set, just way too many about all of a sudden.

Oh well.

nah they are nice

but look daft when they are all in one colour

any bike looks daft when every component is the same colour.

I love Streetbeats, I just wish that people would be a little more imaginative with their colours. It was the 80's afterall.

I'm hoping that with the influx of the raw SB's we start to get some sweet looking customs.

As for that auction - the bidders look like newbies

when i get round to it my streetbeat is gonna be a full on assault of stripes and garish colours.
80's style.

in fact this has just reminded me to get started. i will inspector mors the existing green (yes! green!) paint off it at the weekend.

Sounds really interesting - I've got 2 raw f&f sets coming (if they ever get here) and they'll both be custom colours.

I also have to pull my finger out on an '86 I have in custom colours.

Hi all  ;)

I think that bike is going a bit over the top.

I'm thinking about getting a bare F&F, and I think I posted this on the old site, but one thing that I have seen and is really effective is heated metal and then coated (laquer), you get the metal finish with blue, green and yellow shades etc and it is amazing.

Or you can paint on a base coat, followed by another colour as top coat and sand it / polish it back to get an amazing effect that way.

I used to stock some of -

http://www.brazier-jones.com/

http://www.collectionprivee.com/brazier-jones/

M B~J items and he was very good at finishes. He is also located by a chap that does amazing custom choppers and hot rods who is skilled in similar things. If you are interested I'm sure that I could get some info and pics of how it is done.

And if you have any spare cash / possible trade, I have a rare table by him (Limited to 50 with nearly all of them in a famous London Hotel). NB - most of his items are well in the thousands.
