what to do.
« on: November 08, 2005, 09:46 AM »
Ok, so I've now completed my GT build and I want to start something new, I'm quite attatched to my GT so I don't wanna try anything that may damage it just yet, but I do have..

A Townsend Xpose frame!!

Truly the ugliest mass-produced pile of cr@p out there. It has a freestyle platform a bit like an ammaco but with top tubes like a pro performer, as for the downtube it can't make it's mind up wether it's bent or not, it has a half hearted bend in it and the whole thing looks about a foot too long. Question is, has anyone ever built a bike just for destruction, a test machine, a disposable bike? is it worth it?

My view is, i dont think you will have any satisfaction if you build a bike you have no respect for, especially if you lob any coins at it.

There are plenty of cheap frame sets out there, I mean last week there were about ten billion Streetbeats sold NOS for about £20

Have a think and see what takes your fancy.

I mean, i took a burner to bones that i could not give away (radman wanted it but we dont count him as a person) so in the end we ran some experiments on it....

Have a look about

plenty out there.

the beat is a good idea.

cheap to get going, but will make a worthwhile bike at the end of it!!

How much are kidneys worth these days?

Might get me one of those streetbeats, but alas it's our anniversary this week and my wife's birthday, I don't know, skyway or marriage?  would mean more ride time I guess.
