Internal diameter of headtube.

anybody got an oldschool frame without cups in that they can measure the ID of the headtube please?

Got a Lazerlite on my stand, it measures 34mm internal on the H/T

Might be nearer 33mm, just done it again Cos it has fresh powder so thought best to check both ends and I reckon 33mm

just bought a tasty headset, the diameter of the cup is 30mm.  must be for a mtb or summat.......gutted.

Put it in a drawer for 25 years and when the time comes charge the same as a mortgage to your fellow enthusiasts

it may not fit over the forks that ive not got yet so cant test it.


i think it would need more than tape.

i may have a play with it, see if it fits in any other cups which could be butchered.

i wouldnt bother normally, but its a really nicely machined stem, it looks better in the flesh.
