hot boiling water craig
and they will pop off
try to avoid the spindle tho
just the alloy arms and slight tap with club hammer
and wood to protect the alloy

once the arms are off soak in diesel for a week
and then the heat trick again and pedals will come off aswell

one of my better investments 20 odd years ago was a sugino crank puller. that thing has got me (and others) out of the jammed crank arm scenario many times. the neat thing about it is it will do 2 jobs. one end has the socket for removing the nut/bolt and turn it around and it becomes the puller. remember too not all sockets will fit into the hole where the nut/bolt lives. best of all NO HAMMER DENTS  :angel:
the boiling water idea is a great one, i've never heard that one before. i take it the alloy arm expands more than the steel spindle  :daumenhoch:
