« on: July 02, 2007, 12:56 PM »
HI ALL, IVE POSTED THIS B4 BUT CAN ANYONE ID THE FORKS ON THIS GT? MAYBE JEFF BOTTEMA'S? IT HASNT LANDED FROM THE STATES YET, BUT IM GONNA DO HER ALL BLACK, SO IF THEY ARE BOTTEMAS SHALL I HAVE THEM CHROMED? (JUST THE FORKS) , ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL, CHEERS, FOG.

THANKS, I THINK MAYBE THEY COULD BE VERY EARLY GT FORKS, IF I REMEMBER BITD GT DID A FORK THAT LOOKED LIKE BOTTEMAS OR BOTTAMA MADE A FORK FOR THE FIRST PERFORMERS? THE ONE WHERE THE SEAT STAYS CAME FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE TOP TUBE, RATHER THAN FLUSH WITH THE TOP TUBE?? :crazy2:

Actually they are GT forks, during 1985 GT outsourced all their cheap frames to Japan to be used in complete bikes.
while they continued to make all their pro framesets in the USA.

These are the japanese GT forks
