I'm not really a collector or anything, but do have a couple of Skyways lying around.

Here's my favourite, the Blue / Grey Street Beat....  :smitten:

Ah, it reminds me a bit of BSH. Reader's wives posing with their bikes (or bits of bikes).  ;)

Is there any reason why the 6 spoked skyways aren't as popular, were they a late era thing so not many were made in comparison to the classic 5 spoke?

i'm not 100% sure, but i think the 6 spokers weren't sold seperately.  their proper name was the skyway OE.  OE being Original Equipment.  I think they only came on complete bikes.  also at the time they were out, most flatland riders rode with a coaster brake.  the skyway OE was not available with a coaster brake. well that's what peter hawkins told me...

just a quick question i may be way off course here but as a kid i seem to remember  Mat Hoffman and dizzy  formerly of CWracing were both on skyway streetbeats in 85 -86 maybe even 87 ?? and dude they were some bad ass colour schemes they had goin' on and also both matt and dizz had like white man afros if i remember right , just wondering if this memory is one of those real ones or one those "wouldn't it be cool if "...................that after twenty years seem like reality. Drugs are bad ,  ookkkaaayyy  :uglystupid2:
