KHE f-set rotor system?
« on: June 25, 2007, 06:31 PM »

Hi,

Ive spotted a great deal  on a nice khe,

but it has one of those enormous headtubes/weird rotor thing.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

Does anyone know how long KHE have been doing them?

- on the looks I guessed it was a mid-school thing, but it seems they have them on their 2007 bikes too.

They look horrible and clumsy to me, does anyone like them?

the coke can headtube destroyed the looks of the khe frames around the turn of the century.

personally i think they are not as good as the perfectly adequate gyro system

stefan geisler even left the team rather than ride one!!!

they have got better with time though. the one on crazycraig's flatland bike didn't look too hoopty.

seen the beater with the coke can headtube. "ooo nice" not

the f set is easyer to set up than std gyro and its protected when yer lob it , my son has a khe with f-set his brakes work much better than any of mine with gyro
only agro is to lube it all up to work nice yer have to strip out forks
type f-set in google gives yer a real good guide how to set it up

I had a 98 KHE Dirty Harry which was a good solid bike to ride. It didn't have the rotor though and i'm pretty sure the next model did so TR is bang on with the y2k being it's introduction so that's new skool not mid  :daumenhoch:

Well they look alright on a modern chunky flatland bike of course.

The bike Ive been offerred is a 24" cruiser though!

just doesnt look right,

also im unsure about the freestyle/peg look, sureley a 24" should look like a race bike?

But  yeah £70ono posted, thought It was worth an offer.
