My new battle charriot
« on: June 21, 2007, 02:54 PM »
As most of you know my PL20 has been suffering with 17stone on it, I have snapped another pair of forks, and the frame is really stressed. So I have been on the look out for a new ride, well I bought a powerlite frame and forks last week and spent a couple of hours this afternoon building it up. I already like it lots :smitten:

Quite a bit lighter then the Redline, unfussy 1 piece cranks, wheels i built last year, oh and I replaced the powerlite forks with Tange TX 500s as they are lighter. So what do you lot think??

SWEET ride Mr Mod!!! Shame to see the PL retired but would have been even more of a shame to have seen it snapped.

Hope to see this new beast at daggers tonight

I think you might prefer the Haro when it arrives.  :daumenhoch:

Nice looking bike though. My back up race bike is going to be Chrome. Will be revealed in time for the Winter Series.

Nice bike Ratty.

I raced a Powerlite SR (Expert) from 84 to 85ish, I loved it, I still rate it as probably the best race bike I owned in the 80s.

Should that have had those checkerboard decals? If you get any re-done for that let me know, I'll chip in for the re-pops.

Miles. :coolsmiley:

Miles, it came with a full sticker set, so your more than welcome to scan them etc...

I raced the new baby tonight, managed two seconds and also managed to steer round poor old QUADPAUL who crashed in front of me. Its a bit jittery uo front so I may stick the powerlite forks on it just to see.. But I give it a 9/10 :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

After seeing the last race last night, think it needs SAT NAV  to guide you round  ALL  the course RATTY.
