A Large BMX - Help Please

Hi All
I have a good friend who has a few bikes - KONA and Dawes (for serious stuff) and is thinking about a BMX as he is now in the City and needs to get around.
He is after something strong for messing about and does not mind New or Old School.
Price is about £500 - but the important stuff, he is well built 5' 10 " (rides he has tried - GT and Mongoose at evans are to small) and he is 15 Stone.
What do you recommend with links plesae.
I have not really looked at New Rides, but thought about the Haro Sport, would that be large enough?
Or XL, Pro Race stuff - what is out there?
Thanks

Cheers
After spending a few beers browsing most of the sites this evening and having a chat we think that the SE Ripper and Flyer are looking good.
He wants it ideally with good power so maybe 180 cranks and to be able to sit down and pedal most of the time.
When looking at the SE site, the technial / geom section seem good and the top tube is 20.5 so the fit and position should be okay, and the prices seem well in budget from looking at the dealers.
What do you ride?
Cheers for the reply,

I take it this is for just bombing around the streets on yeah?
20" or 24"? you do know the Floval Flyer is a 24" ?
I ride to work on a Haro Backtrail24 cruiser, it's a scream. It deffo needs 180s though. I only paid £179 for it, although it could do with a set of Profiles - the stockers are crap.
I've been told the FELT bikes are decent and their 24" bike looks very very cool indeed, and a fair bit lighter than my Haro I'm sure. Worth checking them out, they're a little bit rare also, which is nice...

is it a bmx or a cruiser your after, my mate is 6ft 1 inch & 14st rides the bestwick signature bmx daily... a haro 20" bmx will be too small & a race bike will be too weak, as for felt (sh*te)...

The new Ripper is long enough..i'm 5,11' and ive got loads of leg room.I'm not 18 stone though. It does flex a bit and i dont know if it can take street punishment with that sort of weight(no offense
).Its a racing bike really.
Profile do a ss/jyd frame that is really light and as tough as old boots.

yup if your mate wants a bike to mess about on you'd be better off with a freestyle bike not an alloy race bike.
