THX FELLA's ...yea this is a tribute bike in a sense to the guy I got it from...  As you can see in them old pics from BITD some +25 yrs ago, he was a pretty good freestyler.  So I thought building it exactly like he had it back then was great idea....Only thing left to change is the pedals I have the ones he had on it bitd, the blue shimano dx's, Im just waiting on some end caps to put on them!!   8)

Was that Gen 1 this bike, i remember seeing those pics from somewhere of the guy riding from bitd.........

yeah, i have the pic through talking to the seller on ebay, I just wanted the serial for the Haro registery and got talking to the guy, I think he sent Dom a load of pictures of him riding and thats how i've seen them before.
I even loved the bike in its rusty condition, thought it was cool. anyway i think its gone to a good home, you've done a great job of restoring that bike  :daumenhoch:

Can anyone help me I recently got hold of a haro sport and the serial number is under the bottom bracket 84987656.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

Pics to follow.

The serial number might be 84087656 It's hard to tell at my age.

Cheers

84 mk1 Master, original chrome. 3 known of ? 4?  Used to belong to my auntie Gaynor bitd, then she bought a Datsun Sunny and gave it to me. Or did Jay get it for me? Fook knows.

Actually its 1 of 25 listed and the earliest in existence. I would say its within the first 20 produced after the Freestyler finished in January 84. This frame set is a February 1984 and the first month of production for the 1st Gen Master  :)

Looks great Mark  :daumenhoch:

Some incredible looking bikes in this thread.

Question: how are you all stripping your rusty old chrome back to bare metal ready for re-chrome/powder coating?  Looks like it must be hard work!!

Paul
