i won a race frame on usa ebay there was a b.i.n. of $70, now the guy wants $140 + postage.

this is an email from them to me. Let it be known that this frame IS NOT for $70.00. The cost is $140.00 PLUS shipping to the UK. I want to make that very clear.

let ebay sort it then as you have his email addy sign him up for loads of sites wih spamming newsletters or "specialist interest" sites if you know what i mean

That seller is trying to reduce his ebay fees by putting half the cost of the frame on the shipping (no ebay fees on the cost of shipping). If you look at how much he's charging to ship just within the USA, it's $70.

It's circumventing ebays rules so if you report it to them, you might get away with it.

it was the email that spelt it out that the frame was $140 + post was the one that got me. the first one i got was for $280

no i didnt, there was no block on bids from outside the usa tho, as there is on some auctions. when he first got intouch that wasnt a problem.

You should send on the e.mails to ebay also - he is afterall trying to do them out of their fees - plus more importantly the eejit doesn't seem to comprehend the idea of the whole auction process!!
