teeth are different and i recall the cages being undentable, maybe they changed them for the same reason they changed al;ot of stuff in the eighties, softer cages so they make on replacements

I'm pretty sure it's just the teeth, They were only made for a short period of time...   imagine an young kid hobbling over the finish line, mangled JMC under one arm...  severed leg under the other...  time for a redesign me thinks

Quite a bit is getting difficult to get hold of now, but for manufactured items and not prototype / rider only issue parts it has to be Profile. They made some of the most hard to get hold of items in my opinion.

Not often you see the - Chrome Profile / Scott Pad Set, Horseshoe Pedals, Hutch Gen 1 Cranks (not Aerospeeds), Handle Bars including Freestyle, Lock Jaw Stem, Gen 1 Box Cranks and Coloured Spiders.
