Make dull stem shine
« on: November 01, 2005, 01:16 AM »
I have a dull unpainted stem which sort of shines.

Can anyone suggest a way of making it shine like a mirror or is this not possible without re-chroming ?

You piss-taking barstools, ya.

Cheapo method - get some Autosol from Halfords (or some Tesco's) and give it a good polish. Won't quite shine like a mirror but might be shiny enough.

Expensive method - take it to a metal finishers and get them to polish it.

400-600-800-1000-1200 grit wet and dry sand it
then autosol....then peek....then t-cut....and it will end up like this
