ok then folks here's the low down:
Basically we are forming a new club in the North East in an attempt to restart the racing scene here. As you may or may not be aware the track at Hartlepool is having a major re-build with the penultimate goal being the return of racing to the North East. Works on the track are going well but now a British Cycling affiliated club is needed in order to take this venture further. The meeting next Saturday is essentially a chance for riders from around the North East to get together and share their views on what the future of racing should be. Hartlepool is not the only venture in this area with new tracks under development in Hetton and Redcar as well as potential for new venues further North in Gateshead. British Cycling is very keen to see the return of racing here in the North East and it’s hoped that the creation of this club will allow greater scope for riding and development.
If you are interested in airing your views on this matter head to Hartlepool next Saturday and make your voices heard! Directions are available via the website,

PS, Track session is between 10 and 12 on Saturday, just before the meeting, if anyone wants to come along , weather permitting
