The seatclamp subject came up on Vintage too...some had them, some didn't...who knows what the answer is? Ask Todd Lyons on Vintage, he might be able to help.

I can understand the buying of these but cannot get my head around the clambering for a TA made out of old tubing ? , I'd rather get an original 83/84 TA if I wanted one  ??? .

Deano , Profile phoned Alans today to see if they still wanted that stem because they have been waiting so long for it , Alan said yup as its for you and Profile are posting it to Alan today so you should have it before the weekend from Alan  ;) (fingers crossed)

edit - BTW the quads from Alans don't come with the seat clamp or adjusters  :'(
