What Radman says, they are not very nice bikes and there are too many of them around  :LolLolLolLol:

I think an orderly queue might be forming  :LolLolLolLol:

A word of caution (and I'm not joking) the forks on the Patterson are prone to cracking too as the dropouts are very thin and suffer stress loading  :daumenhoch: .

BTW, a Patterson needs to be chrome, I don't recall them being available in colours, if re-chroming is not an option sell it to me and I promise to get it rechromed  >:D  :LolLolLolLol:.

Does it look like this one?  You can see what I mean about the dropouts on the forks, I went through two sets bitd and ended up with a pair of Tange Mega Forks as they were practially indestructable  :LolLolLolLol:.

I have to say I bought one I used to ride round on as a kid and it was a heap of shite. Heavy as feck, christ knows how they were ever considered anygood as a race bike. Needless to say it got sold pretty sharpish.

Oh here's a picture of it.

Oh here it is before it got resto'd. Still using the wheels and the seat on my Robinson race bike.

By the way I'm full of shite, it was a lovely bike really.  :LolLolLolLol:

The early Patties were nickel, with the chrome coming in late on the version in the first pic and also the later PR series frames. I don't think the decals on the first pic are correct either, s/b the western font or later block type?

Here's some other snaps of the early one, I have one that is going to need some work by Fuzzy' mate Andy Robinson on the downtube and seat stays!!

They are the same decals as I had on my one back in 1982/3 so I'm pretty certain think they are correct, I've still got the matching jersey too which has the same font  :daumenhoch:

I'd love to get another of these fantastic frames but they are truly rocking horse doo doo  ;)

Marty you must have had one of the last of the early long frames with those decals, which I think are the PR series ones.

There were some other decals in between the western style ones, you can just make them out on the racing pic, I just found some other pics too.
'
Must admit though it is good news if yours came with those decals, as they are the only ones I have sourced for my build :daumenhoch:

Pete, Lord GMAC bought it I think, he had it at MK last year  :daumenhoch:  Mind you in that pic you can really see how short Zippy is when it's put up against a proper sized bike  :LolLolLolLol:

Paul, I think they used whatever decals they had around at the time  :LolLolLolLol:  Seriously though, I think the first set of decals you have would look mighty fine on it.  if you are not sure, give me the frame and i will take care of it  :LolLolLolLol:
