What happened to JT Racing the MX & BMX Clothing?
« on: June 02, 2007, 11:44 PM »
Does anyone know what happened to JT Racing, the clothing company?  BITD I had a great set of JT Race pants, jersey, gloves, still got my JT mouth guard etc but have not seen them at all and a google search brings back sweet fanny adams on them  :-\.

Better to crash and burn than fade away

Happy me.

Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear, flushed down the pan then.  Like the "About Us" page which somehow manages to skip 20 odd years of motocross and bmx product into just two sentences    but somehow not surprising  ::).

It probably hit them hard when Axo and other newer companies got into MX and to a lesser extent BMX. Add to that freestyle going non-uniform and it all went wrong.

I guess the newer companies were seen as more trendy. Probably the same reason Haro stopped making Mode 3 pants (which IMO weren't as good as he original ones anyway), mouth traps and peaks.

Sad as both JT and Haro did some really good stuff  :'(

Oh dear......that's pretty sad!

I must admit, I was wondering about this too not long back.

I used to wear JT Body Armour, especially in the bowls as it made me feel even more un-breakable!

To see where it has ended up is bad bad bad.

Daz.
Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cnut... ME!

I had a co'ey deal with JT in the UK around 86/87 , my ALS1 lid was lush !  ;) . I also used to wear the armour ( just the front set up ) prior to that in 85/86 .

You can just see the armour here , Coventry National 1986 .

Old pic below with lid , late 86 early 87 .

Gutted now that I sold it when I retired , but now a happier bunny after picking this up earlier this year  :4_17_5:
