Hello to everyone. First off, i'm new to the forum with my second post here so i apologize if this type of topic already exists. If that's the case feel free to move this to it's correct place.
The unknown frame..
I bought this a good while ago "as is" cause i think the frame has cool appearance and desing plus it's a restorer's "dream" so to speak. The paint has been removed by previous owner and it came with a fork that's obviously from a Mongoose Decade/pro.
I would appreciate some help trying to identify the exact manufacturer and model. The frame feels quite heavy so i doubt it's full 100% cro-mo, maybe cro-mo maintubes or just full hi-ten, i don't know.
My best guess with my limited knowledge about mid-80's frames so far is an Ammaco but i might be completely wrong. Why do i think it's Ammaco? Because the drop outs shape and inside weld technique as well as that tiny support tube between chainstays match to this picture i found in Alan's BMX site:
http://www.alans.co.uk/oldschool/ammacoframe.jpg..well everything else then is pretty much different.
So far i've heard random guesses of Redline, Ammaco and Ruffel Hole Shot but i am really curious to hear what it REALLY is!
I'm planning to have it white powder coated at some point and put all-white parts.
Never mind the eggs & lemons.
Thanks!
