Ebay - dodgyness
« on: May 22, 2007, 10:12 AM »
I was bidding on the PL-20 Carrera II decals that were on the bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220112941416

Pafrogil is my ID, but I got a cancellation notice, had a look and there were 2 bids cancelled with the same reason quoted "changed mind" and 1 other bid cancelled with a note saying someone offered me a Kuwahara for these decals!

Looking at the auction though, it looks like it ran the duration and 302Zapper won, just a bit p*ssed at this and am wondering if some one has accessed my a/c or if the cancellation was done by the seller??

Ideas or similar experiences anyone?

Ta

Very odd...looks like the seller had a 'twat' moment.

Hmm,

Just had this reply (seems the fella is 302zappers brother too, as he is shown as winning bidder) so no doubt there will be a load of repro PL-20 decals out soon!!

"hey i am really sorry about it, but i couldnt stop the auction! i have no problem with you. a guy from singapore offered me his kuwahara survivor frame frok for those decals + 50 bucks, so i wanted that. i cancled all the high bidders, bid from my bros account to win the bid so that nobody will get it. i wanst doing it to jack the price, i just dont want to sell them anymore. anyway jkraig asked if i could repro them, i am trying to get someone to repro them before i exchange it with the singapore guy. i also scannned the decals.if you want the scanned image let me know. would u be interested in the repro if i could get it done, of course i am not going to charge u NOS price. i couldnt stop the auction."

There was a bid on the 17th, though and that wasn't cancelled when 'he cancelled all bids'.  Too cynical, me  :buck2:
