I've got these bars. Was talking recently to Frosty about MRD pro bars, we both have a late set each which are braized, not Tig welded, made at the same time as MRD frame sets. These are also a set of MRD bars, but they are Tig welded and the rake on them is very slightly different, the ends are down just a little more. From info he has gathered he has been told that Tim March was big mates with Greg Hill, and that his earlier bars may have been Starbars just sold as MRD bars. Interested to see what anybody thinks.

mrd bars are better lookin than star bars, star bars are wider at the bottom and fookin 'orribly square. titan did a set of bars that were unbelievably similar to star bars, didnt a man named voris make both star n titan bars?

I'm not sure if Tim did ever use the bars, but I wouldn't have been surprised as it is well known that Greg Hill used GT labelled Star Bars when he was sponsored by GT!!

Some geezer called Adrian turned up at Hayes last year on a 'National Pro' with Star Bars, i got chatting to him and he was kinda of looking confused and said 'Someone just offered me £300 for me bars'  I told him about the site but i dont think he has joined......oh yeah i got his number too

I had a set on my TA BITD, myself & Rob Bell went upto Alpine Action to get some GT Pro Bars, but they had sold out, so we both ended up with a pair of Star Bars & we both cut 1" off each side    & when the decals got worn, I took them off & put GT stickers on 

I would love another pair for my TA, but I am not paying silly money for them...

No , not the same . The new ones are an even more pronounced weird kinda bend and a lower crossbar
