Schwinn grips

Hey guys.
Is Schwinn an american thing or do you guys get into them as well? ???
I came across these & wondered if they were decent & or from the 70's/80's.
They're kinda like Grab On's with the foam grip part.

Schwinn never really had a mainstream importer into the UK bitd, so there stuff was rare, I only ever saw one race bike of theirs and that was privately imported.  Shame cos I loved the look of their bikes!
we had Grab On as well as Johar Rad Grips. I still use Rad grips on a couple of my bikes...
