Making decals info please.....
« on: May 04, 2007, 07:46 AM »
Hi All, I have creted my own decals as I wanted a custom colour. All is fine that I have printed onto self-adhesive A4 film using a standard ink jet printer. I now need to purchase a 'lightweight' clear self-adhesive film to go over the top of them. I have searched the net and can't find anything. Any ideas????? Cheers all!

Ah nice one Paul. I did see this stuff but am unsure of the thickness of it? (I will email the seller) I already have a similar product but as its quite thick, it tends to peal off the bike frame within a couple of days. Thanks for the heads up though, it might be the right stuff.  :daumenhoch:

I was going to suggest Fablon, you can get it in large rolls but this stuff sounds like it might be better. The only trouble with the Fablon (sticky back plastic) is that it's quite thick.

you can buy a fixitive spray for making decals permanent , you can also get specialist decal paper for printing onto in clear or white(remember you cant print white so if your decals have white in them you need white paper )

Yea, I already have the printable paper (Folex) but as the printer prints on top of the paper, I need to place a protective film over it. So looking for a glossy clear film around 0.050mm thick. Not easy to find though.  >:(

Hi

I've looked everwhere I can think of for the A4 self adhesive film to go into my printer to print on but I can't find it. Perhaps i'm looking for the wrong thing. Coud you let me know where you got yours from please?

Many thanks
