There was some vid clip where Velhurst puched someone out, and it was all planned cos the other guy had said something. It was all a bit stupid. Then, I think Keith Treanor said he could take Velhurst so they were going to have a fight: Standard Vs S&M. All crap really, and it never happened.

he was a super cool guy the time i met him..  he punched that guy because he wrote " i hear bell make a good full face helmet" in a card to jeff crawn (the guy who was paralysed when his landing gears snapped at shimersville)  JV did say to the guy "i am going to hit you" so you know, that makes it OK.  anyway. that was 1993 i met him and not seen him since..

Thats it, I heard he punched the guy cos of something to do with what he has said about Jeff Crawn. I never met him so I cant say what he was like. I can say that Treanor was always angry and I wouldnt wanna fight him. ha ha.

Jeff Crawn.....  I recall a few riders doing nice things for him around that time.  How did he end up, was it permanent?  I read a letter of his to US ride I think where he said he had some slight movement in one arm.

If this geezer really did write that in a card then he deserved whatever he got.  Fooking maggot

I met Jeremy Verhulst in 99 and he was a great bloke! He was just kicking off his Team JV side project (i've still got the video) working at Standard stickering frames. He was a lovely fella, really enthusiastic and IMO a great rider.

I was just thinking about Jeff Crawn the other day! It would be nice to hear how he's getting on.

I think I heard that the guy who wrote that in Jeff Crawns card, didnt realise that he was paralysed. I dont think anyone would be hartless enough to take the mick of out someone that badly hurt. Very nasty, I felt sick when I heard what had happened. Im sure JV was just doing what he thought was the right thing to do.
